A Little About Me:

Hi, I’m Kelsey!

I’m a Lake City, Florida-based photographer and journalism student specializing in photojournalism, portrait photography, and storytelling. I’ve been behind the camera for more than eight years, beginning with my time in high school yearbook, where my job was simple: capture the moments people would want to remember.

Since then, that idea has continued to shape the way I photograph. I love meeting new people, learning what makes them who they are, and capturing both the big moments and the candid ones in between. While portraits are my specialty, I especially enjoy documentary-style and candid photography because there is something special about a photograph that feels genuine and unposed.

My work has been published in the Lake City Reporter’s Currents Magazine, as well as The Palm Beach Post and Gators Online. I am currently pursuing a degree in Journalism: Sport and Media, continuing to develop my skills in visual storytelling, sports photography, and feature writing.

My editing style leans toward true-to-color imagery, allowing the people and moments in front of my camera to remain the focus.

My grandmother always told me to “follow your bliss,” and photography is one of the places where I get to do exactly that.

I believe photographs are more than images; they are pieces of people’s stories that allow us to return to a moment, a person, or a feeling long after it has passed.
